Long Handle
The Nine Ring Broadsword is one of many variations of the Chinese Dao Broadsword. This Nine Ring variation provides steel rings along the spine side of the blade to both create noise (for distraction in combat and showmanship in performance) and to make stab wounds "dirtier". They can also be used to catch opponents' weapons.
These kung fu Nine Ring Broadswords are made of chrome plated steel. The blade has moderate flex towards the tip but can hold is weight if place on its tip. The Nine Ring Broadsword has a 10.25" long handle making it suitable for two handed sword.

This Traditional Nine Ring broadsword is constructed of cold-rolled, chrome-plated steel. The blade is stiff and does not flex.
